Surveyors don't always pick up every tree, especially neighbouring, street and smaller trees that council still expects to see. We fill the gaps and assess every tree, so your tree data is complete before design starts.
We capture tree positions with a Trimble DA2 GNSS receiver and Trimble Catalyst, with positioning accurate down to 1 cm. The data is plotted over your survey base plan in ArborCAD and can be exported for GIS.
What we record for each tree
- Species (botanical and common name)
- Height, crown spread in each direction, and trunk diameter at standard height (DSH) as defined in AS 4970:2025
- Health, structure, age class and estimated useful life
- Retention value, as an input to design
- NRZ and SRZ, calculated and drawn to scale
- Trees on neighbouring land and the road reserve whose root zones extend into your site

- A tree schedule and an ArborCAD tree survey plan over your survey base plan
- GIS-ready data for asset registers, management plans and large sites
- A sound basis for a Pre-AIA, an AIA, a tree management plan or a risk assessment
